Bruce Rock Caravan Park
The Caravan Park is managed by the Shire of Bruce Rock. It contains 20 powered sites, Campers Kitchen, town water, shower, toilet, laundry, public telephone and barbecues. There are also six Backpacker Huts for hire, which can sleep 1 or 2 persons. You are required to bring your own pillows, blankets and linen. Tea and coffee facilities are available, and full access to the Campers’ kitchen comes with your stay.
The Caravan Park has three Self-Contained Chalets, two of which can sleep a maximum of four guests. These units can be arranged for two single beds and a pullout bed, or a Queen bed and a pullout bed. Disability access has been included in one of the units which can sleep a maximum of two guests with a double bed setup.
If you are arriving late at night please call the Shire during working hours to make arrangements for your arrival. An RV (Recreation Vehicle) waste disposal facility is available at the Caravan Park.

Camp Site – tents cost $11.00 per person, per night

Kwolyin Campsite
Kwolyin Campsite is situated on what used to be the old football oval. You wouldn’t know it. Pristine bush, with orchids, flowering annual and sandalwoods surround the camp. Rarely can you sit in a picnic shelter and look on at orchids on the sides of the shelter. Or, park your caravan in a dedicated bay in the bush. The camp boasts toilets, camp kitchen, large and small shelters, dedicated tent camping and caravan bays, campfires with BBQ plate (1st April – 30th September only), bush walks and a pioneer walk trail through the old campsite & more.
*There are no camping fees, and bookings are not required.

The Silos
The Silos is located at the old Hyden Abattoir site. Aptly named ‘The Silos’ as the location has stunning views of the Hyden Cooperative Bulk Handling (CBH) silos.
The Silos consists of four x 4 bedroom ensuite dongas (one with disabled access) as well as access to the communal kitchen, laundry and dining area. Dogs are permitted in the Kulin Caravan Park with prior approval from the Caretaker. All pets are deemed under the supervision and control of the patron at all times. Pets are not allowed in ablution blocks or laundry facilities. We ask that your pet remains on a leash and that pet owners pick up after their pets using waste bags. Washing of pet blankets and other pet items in the park washing machine is not permitted.
Camp Hart
Camp Hart was founded in 1999 as a place where Australian Defence Force Veterans, and their families and friends, could find solitude and /or friendship within the Veteran Community year round. More importantly Camp Hart, in conjunction with the Kulin Bush Races, brings together the Veteran Community and the local Wheatbelt Community. Camp Hart was named after Peter Hart who was wounded on the 21st of March 1967, and died 8 days later of his wounds in a Field Ambulance, Vung Tau, South Vietnam. At this time, his parents were the Postmaster/Mistress of Kulin. The public is welcome to visit Peter’s memorial, which is located to the north of the Bush Races Track at Jilakin. An annual Memorial service is held, on the Saturday morning of the Bush Races at 8.00am. Everyone is welcome.
Getting There – From Kulin, travel east along the Tin Horse Highway. Turn left at the Bush Races sign (Jilakin Rock North Rd) and follow the road for approx 2 km past Jilakin Rock. Approx. 200mtrs past Jilakin Rock turn left (just before the bend). Camp Hart is available for use all year round by ADF Veterans and the Local Community. Facilities include toilet and shower ablution blocks – including disabled shower/toilet. There is a fully enclosed ‘Meet and Greet’ area with gas BBQ, pot belly stoves and a generator.
Camp Hart would not exist without the support and efforts of the 9 Vietnam Veteran Project Pioneers and their families, the Shire of Kulin, the Lucchesi family and all the good people of Kulin. Camp Hart has been given permission to use its logo from the Australian Department of Defence and reflects the three services of the Australian Defence Force: Navy, Army and Air force.

Kulin Retreat
Kulin Retreat caters for larger groups and schools. It is within walking distance of Kulin’s fantastic facilities. The facilities consist of dormitory-style accommodation (sleeping up to 46 people). Supervisor rooms are also available along with a fully equipped kitchen, communal entertainment area with couches and pool table, flat-screen television, DVD player, stereo, and laundry facilities. All linen is supplied.
Bookings in advance can be made through the Shire Office. Bookings require a minimum of 8 people. This is a popular facility and we strongly recommend bookings being made months in advance. The hire fee of the Kulin Retreat is $25 per person per night for community bookings and $40 per person per night for corporate bookings.

Free 72 Hour Parking is available for fully self-contained RV’s in the new Discovery Zone with in the Kulin townsite. The area is located on Johnston Street, at the back of the public toilets (between the railway line and Johnston Street). Please note: Camping is only permitted at Jilakin Rock and at the Kulin Bush Races Track during Kulin Bush Races time – typically the first weekend of October every year.

Quairading Caravan Park Cabins
The park features three brand self-contained cabins. The cabins are two bedroom with 1 x queen size bed and 2 x single beds. All cabins have a bathroom, kitchen and open living and dining area. One of the cabins is universal and is disable friendly with easier access and a disabled bathroom. This cabin has a bunk bed in the second bedroom and a fold out couch to accommodate a fourth person.. Shared laundry facilities are available within the Caravan Park.
